WHEREFORE YOUTH SHAKESPEARE?
We think Shakespeare is not for books and English classes. It is meant to be played, out loud, in theaters, by real humans like us. Shakespeare is loud and shocking, deep and goofy, moving and brutal...kinda like middle school. At its best, Shakespeare's work gives us the specificity we need to communicate what it means to be human. In our youthful voices Shakespeare shouts and moans, roars and sings. It is our birthright, and yours.
